Brussels Sprout Long Island Seeds

Long Island is an old heirloom variety that makes a great replacement for Darkmar 21. It is a semi-dwarf variety that grows to about 70cm tall. It produces a stout stem of closely packed sprouts that can be harvested over a long harvest period from November to January. An ideal garden variety.
Sow from the end of March through to early May in modules. It requires a temperature of 10C or more to germinate well. Plant out at spacing of 60cm x 60cm from late May onwards.
