Sow in modules under cover anytime from January onwards, but the ideal is from mid February to March at 15C, sowing 6-8 seeds per module. Plant out after hardening off in late spring. Or sow direct in situ in shallow drills 2cm deep with 25-30cm between rows. Thin gradually to 10cm between plants. Always thin carefully and remove all debris so as not to attract onion fly.
