Parsnip – Half Long Guernsey
The roots of this variety are meduim size with broad shoulders that taper down. The white skin is smooth and the parsnip is concidered to be one of the best older varieties.
Sow the seed from February onwards. Clear as many stones as possible to avoid the roots forking. Keep the seed moist, germination can be slow and erratic although fresh seed will bring better results.
