Salad Purslane Golden Seeds

Purslane – Golden

This variety produces glossy, golden-green, spoon-shaped, succulent salad leaves, with juicy, orange stems. The plant grows to 20cm in height.

Sow under cover in trays in warmth. Germination takes 1-2 weeks. Or sow direct in situ, in drills, throughout spring and summer, and then thin to 30cm spacing. Prefers sunny position in light soils (do not manure). Protect against slugs and snails. Looks good in containers and is very tolerant if kept in partial shade and watered regularly.
